Hello there I'm Alec and I'm new to the game! I bring with me one Wu Xie from the sprawling canon that is Daomu Biji aka The Lost Tombs aka The Grave Robbers Chronicles. Wu Xie is the brains of a group called the Iron Triangle who spent several years solving ancient tomb mysteries, having strange adventures and also destroyed a group that wanted to manipulate the world using the secrets of the Bronze Gate which is like giving noobs launch codes to the world's nuclear arsenal. He's a sweet guy who also has terminal cancer - or does he?

I'm taking him from right at the start of Reunion so his last memories are being in a tomb and he's going to be a little annoyed about Pangzi and Xian-ge missing. Also concerned but him getting kidnapped isn't as unusual as some people would believe. To him it's another day ending in y. Also some notes: Wu Xie's nicknames include Tianzhen and Emperor Xie. He's the only grandson of the Fifth family of the Mystic Nine which are powerful grave robbing families with his family's specialty being raising and controlling hellhounds. Also he freaks out over snails.

Kinda, sorta? I mean he does go sneaking around in ancient tombs and figuring out clues and have very weird days indeed that might be considered mystical but maybe aren't? The current season he is following clues about a group of thunder-listening ancients in search of his Uncle Three even though currently he's stuck inside of a version of Warehouse 13 solving big mysteries and trying not to get killed. Which is also normal.

Strange lifestyle but not entirely used to magic then? Matt is in a sort of similar situation where he's used to the abnormal but not used to large amounts of magic. He knows it's out there after certain events but not to what extent.

Sounds like Wu Xie has a lot of enemies!

Often it ends up being almost magic just ancient secrets that people so did not want other people to learn about. Like the Qilin Blood. Or the human skin dolls. Or the Seven-headed Hydra Cypress. Which are fascinating and world shaking but not exactly magic. I mean his family is known for raising hellhounds which actually aren't fire and brimstone creatures but dogs that just have those traits.

It's a family thing. The Old Nine are well-respected within a certain circle as an united front about certain items of special properties, but they also do a lot of infighting. And he's the only heir of the direct line of Old Dog Wu, so that makes him a target.

Pretty much! Ancient science and oh look immortality ut not really.

He kinda also draws arrgo just by being himself. In the current show he managed to anger half the workers because he just figured out a secrete storeroom, cracked a code using chewing gum, and released a bunch of fireflies to mess up a security system.
