all the lochs are frozen over
Winter has begun to descend on Wonderland! This is evident both inside the hotel and out. The lake, forest, and plains that can be viewed from characters' windows develop first a layer of frost and then snow, which can occasionally be seen falling in the moonlight. The Pool of Tears has also been over taken with snow and ice. Sand dunes are now snow hills, the little coves are now frozen caves, and the pool itself is an ice skating rink. The jacuzzis remain as they were, albeit now surrounded by snow. Skis, snow boards, inner tubes, sleds, and ice skates are available for use.
Yes, you heard that right, there are foot coverings available in the hotel! Of course, characters will find that they can't be removed from the pool area, but they are there! Prolonged use of the ice skates, however, will result in a strange tingling feeling in the soles of their feet. This will get worse the longer that characters wear the skates until it becomes painful, and characters may find all of their emotions dulled for a few hours after removing the skates.
As the month goes on, the snow will start to spread throughout the rest of the hotel. First it will begin to snow in the lobby, then the halls, then the rest of the hotel amenities. It never seems to gather more than a faint dusting, though it is eternally snowing and very, very cold. Although the snow does not reach characters' rooms, even those seem to have an increased chill.
Fear not, Oysters, for the Carpenter has just brewed up a fresh batch of piping hot teas that are sure to help! The following teas will be available through the month:
Why are the Oysters being allowed access to such unique and desirable teas? Why, to thank them for getting rid of the shadow creature, of course! Her Royal Highness is most grateful for their help and has decided to reward them suitibly.
Characters will quickly find that drinking the teas will also result in experiencing a few side effects. All teas will come with allowing characters to feel warm for a few hours after drinking, and will also come with some unique to the type of tea:
As the month goes on, characters may find that they are unable to keep themselves warm in the hotel without drinking one of the teas. Characters who are especially reluctant to drink may find that hotel staff have slipped them a tea or two.

DESIRE: drinking this tea will cause characters to feel overwhelmed with want. This doesn't have to be a sexual desire, though it can be! It can also be a desire for food or drink, for material objects, or anything else you can think of
PASSION: characters who drink this tea will find themselves swept up in an intense zeal for something. What this something is will be specific to each character! It could be passion for another person, for revenge, for a particular interest or hobby, for a goal or objective. You're welcome to get creative with this!
COMFORT: drinking this tea will make characters feel infinitely relaxed and soothed, as though they've been wrapped up in a warm blanket with a bowl of soup and a nice hot beverage
COMPANIONSHIP: drinking this tea will invoke the warmth and safety of being with the ones you love most, regardless of where they are, and will banish any sense of missing them

COMPANIONSHIP: the side effect of this tea will make characters more likely to avoid other characters, as they have all of their needs for companionship already filled
As the month goes on, characters may find that they are unable to keep themselves warm in the hotel without drinking one of the teas. Characters who are especially reluctant to drink may find that hotel staff have slipped them a tea or two.
